Important!
Tour
Operators stipulate that all their
passengers must have holiday insurance
and the cover that your insurance
provides must not be substandard
to that offered by their own.
Many free insurances offered by
credit card companies do not meet
the standard of cover required
by Tour Operators.
Policies are often checked on
departure and inadequately covered
passengers can be refused passage.

increase in airport security now dictates
that holidaymaker's travel documents
are scrutinised much more vigorously.
This has
led to an increase in the number of
passengers being refused permission
to board the aircraft because of inadequate
insurance cover.
Travel Advisors recommend that our clients
take out travel insurance with the Tour
Operators with whom their travel arrangements
have been made.

When
transfers are not included in
the price of a holiday the typical
add-on cost is around £15 per
person. For a group of 4 a taxi
can be a cost effective alternative.

Airport
Transport is based on pickup from
home(s), delivered to the airport
and then returned at the end of
your holiday. It can be cost effective
on holiday durations of 14 days
and over.
Ask your TravelAdvisor about larger
groups where the cost per person
can come tumbling down. Even a
stretched limo can be cost effective
for 8 persons.

There
are some excellent parking services
around UK airports. They transfer
you to and from their parking
facilities to the airport and
most are more secure and cheaper
than the actual airport.
An increasingly popular way is
to have an over-night prior to
your departure at a hotel of your
choice and arrange for free parking
for the duration of your holiday.
Some hotels have courtesy mini
buses on constant call between
hotel and airport.

In
almost all cases it is cheaper
to hire a car before you travel
than it is to hire one once you
are there. This is certainly true
if you need a hire car from the
airport.
